Vande Mataram: Soul of our Nation and Nationalism

Muslim clergy on Vande Mataram:

During the centenary of (singing of) Vande Mataram in September 2006, Darul Uloom, the foremost seminary of Muslims at Deoband, gave a decree that the National Song is un-Islamic and that Muslims must not sing it. This decree was upheld on 3 November 2009 by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, which passed a resolution saying, “The fatwa of Darul Uloom opposing recitation of Vande Mataram is correct.”

The Home Minister, who went there on an invitation from Jamiat, condemned the demolition of the disputed structure over Bhagwan Ram’s Janmabhumi. Though the disputed structure was not in use by the Muslim community, the“secular-brigade” has been repeatedly lying that it was a ‘Masjid’ and Chidambaram repeated the same lie and described the demolition of this religious affront to the Hindu community as “a manifestation of religious fanaticism and an act of extreme prejudice.” While Chidambaram praised the Darul Uloom for issuing a fatwa against terrorism in February 2008, he conveniently kept quiet on the Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack which happened after issuance of the so-called fatwa. Although the continuing terror acts proved that the fatwa was nothing but the Islamic game of “Taqiya”, Chidambaram sought ulema cooperation in the fight against terror. The Jamiat for its part condemned suicide bombings and killings of innocents as ‘unpardonable sin’, but termed “Jihad” a “constructive phenomenon” without explaining what ‘constructive’ means. As the country has seen enough of the continuing an act of Jihad and plays of Taqiya, the onus lies on the government in general and Home Ministry in particular, to rid this nation of terror attacks in future. But the fatwa on Vande Mataram deserves a candid discourse, as it could be an encouragement to Jihad and Taqiya in the process of converting India to Darul Islam. Although the Home Minister said he was not aware of the passing of the resolution upholding the fatwa against Vande Mataram, it is pertinent to note that he had not commented on it even after learning of it. He had the ‘courage’ to call the disputed structure a ‘Masjid’ and its demolition a manifestation of religious fanaticism, but not the courage to call the fatwa against Vande Mataram as religious fanaticism, an attitude typical of Nehruvian Secularism and minority appeasement, which started in the 1930s to demean the sacred Vande Mataram.

History, significance and sanctity of Vande Mataram:

• November 7, 1876:- The song Vande Mataram was written and composed and dedicated to the Motherland by Sri Bankin Chandra Chatterjee (1838-1894) at the Kantal Pada village of Bengal. It appeared in his novel “Anandamath,”published in 1882.

• 1896:- Rabindranath Tagore sang Vande Mataram at the Calcutta Congress Session. It was the first political occasion when Vande Mataram was sung in chorus. Tagore also set the song to music.

• 1901:- The Indian National Congress rehearsed the singing of Vande Mataram in 1901 under the guidance of Sri Dakina Charan Sen, who also sang it in another session of the Congress in Calcutta.

• 1905:- Vande Mataram became the national battle cry for freedom from British oppression, especially after the launching of Swadeshi Movement (7 August 1905) and the partition of Bengal (16 October 1905) by Lord Curzon.

• Smt. Sarala Devi Chaudharani, niece of Rabindranath Tagore, sang Vande Mataram at the Benares Congress Session, despite the ban on its singing by the British Government.

• Matangani Hazra’s last words were Vande Mataram when shot dead by Crown Police.

• 1906:- Lala Lajpat Rai, Lion of Punjab, started a journal called Vande Mataram from Lahore.

• In March 1906, the Barisal Parishad was created and a Provincial Conference of Bengal held at Barisal. The delegates defied the ban imposed by the government and took out a massive procession through the city chanting Vande Mataram. They braved lathi-charges shedding blood and the conference came to an abrupt end.

• On 7 August 1906, Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950) started his paper Vande Mataram, which became an immortal and unforgettable newspaper in the history of Indian Journalism.

• 1907:- Madame Bhikaiji Cama (1861-1936) unfurled the tricolour in the Congress of the Second International at Stuttgart. The Tricolour (Green, Saffron and Red) National Flag of India was designed by her and her friends in 1905 bearing the immortal words of Bande Mataram.

• August 11, 1908:- 19 year old Kudiram Bose was hanged and he became immortal with the song of Vande Mataram on his lips.

• August 17, 1909:- 26 year old Madan Lal Dhingra (1883-1909) was hanged at Pentonville Prison in London. He became immortal with Vande Mataram on his lips.

• 1915:- Indian National Congress adopted the singing of Vande Mataram as a sacred tradition to begin every session.

• 1927:- Gandhiji, who often extolled the grandeur of Vande Mataram, said the song held up before one’s mind the picture of the whole “Bharat one and indivisible.”

• 1943 to 1945:- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose made Vande Mataram the song of his Indian National Army and it was regularly broadcast from his Singapore radio station.

Ever since Vande Mataram became the battle cry of the freedom movement, hundreds of eminent nationalist leaders and millions of freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives for this nation by chanting the sacred mantra Vande Mataram as their last words. Sadly and unfortunately, as the forces of appeasement took over the reins of Indian National Congress, the forces of nationalism started waning from the scene and the Indian National Congress started viewing Vande Mataram as an “irritant” in the path of winning over Muslims. The end result was that the party failed to declare Vande Mataram, the soul of the freedom movement, as the National Anthem and opted for “Jana Gana Mana”. It also adopted Mohammed Iqbal’s Sare Jahan Se Accha as an associate national anthem, just to satisfy the Muslims. Fortunately, the Constituent Assembly had the sense to make the final decision of giving equal importance to both “Vande Mataram” and“Jana Gana Mana”. While presiding over the Constituent Assembly on 24 January 1950, Dr. Rajendra Prasad stated, “The composition consisting of words and music such as Jana Gana Mana is the National Anthem of India, subject to such alterations as the Government may authorize as occasion arises, and the song Vande Mataram, which has played a historic part in the struggle for Indian freedom, shall be honoured equally with Jana Gana Mana and shall have equal status with it. I hope this will satisfy members”.

Impact of Nehruvian secularism:

As the ‘Indian National Congress’ metamorphosed into the Nehru family’s fiefdom, the National Song was sidelined and ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha’ given prominence. Under the successive leadership of the Nehru family members, the appeasement of minorities increased resulting in the Muslim Clergy developing the courage to issue a fatwa against the spirit of nationalism and the Congress party maintaining cowardly silence.

The Nehru family’s hold over the nation for more than five decades led to the decline of ‘nationalism’ which was rapidly replaced by ‘secularism’ leading to blatant appeasement of minorities and resulting in the majority being treated as secondary citizens in their own land. Following Congress footsteps, all the other political parties started pandering to minorities, focusing on communalism, casteism, separatism, linguistic chauvinism and social divisions, showing scant regard to nationalist principles.

Over time, society got divided along communal, caste and linguistic lines forgetting the concept of unity in diversity. The continued Macaulay System of Education played a role in the deterioration of nationalist values. Notwithstanding the sidelining of Vande Mataram, even Jana Gana Mana lost its relevance as many states developed ‘state anthems’ which eclipsed the national anthem. In Tamil Nadu, the state anthem gets more prominence, and the national anthem has become passé even in official functions. Most ministers, MLAs and bureaucrats do not know the national anthem and can’t sing it completely.

UPA and national spirit:

Lalu Prasad Yadav (and his wife Rabri Devi), who disrespected the national anthem in an official function in Bihar, served as Railway Minister in UPA-I. The NCERT under Arjun Singh came out with school textbooks terming Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa as an ‘insane person’ and Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Aurobindo as ‘terrorists’.

The centenary of Vande Mataram singing turned out to be a farce under UPA in 2006. Arjun Singh issued a circular to all schools to sing the first two stanzas compulsorily, but withdrew it immediately after protests from Muslim organizations. When the Congress party celebrated the centenary, both Sonia and Manmohan did not attend the function, thereby insulting the national song. Adding insult to injury, during INC’s 122nd founding day celebrations, Congressmen in an exhibition of ugly sycophancy sang ‘Vande Mataram’ when Sonia was entering the venue! The party made a mockery of ‘Dandi March’ in 2005 during the anniversary of ‘Salt Satyagraha’. After an official function in Oragadam, Kanchipuram district in 2006, Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress parivar left the stage without the recital of the National Anthem.

The UPA came out with a ‘scintillating historical’ decision outlined in the 11th Five Year Plan approved by the National Development Council. The plan document under the head ‘Madrassas/Maktabs’ said, ‘They (Madrassas) will receive a 'special grant' to celebrate National Festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day.’ Ironically, this plan document was released after Darul Uloom declared Vande Mataram un-Islamic and that Muslims must not sing it. These ‘Religious Schools’ operating in our country enjoy freedom of religion and minority rights, but refuse to celebrate our national festivals, hoist our National Flag and sing our national song ‘Vande Mataram’! These schools are allegedly notorious for feeding religious fundamentalism and breeding fanatics who become extremists or helpers of terrorism.

Unfortunately the UPA, instead of closing these institutes of bigotry or correcting and streamlining them authoritatively, gave them ‘grants’ (!) to celebrate national festivals which is their constitutional duty! When a government can make the hoisting of National Flag mandatory, can't it make celebrations of national festivals mandatory? If the concerned institutes are not interested in respecting our nation, national flag and national song, why should the government beg them by giving grants? Why can't it close those institutions?

Given this background, it is small wonder that the present UPA government had not bothered about the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind’s resolution confirming the fatwa against Vande Mataram. It is no surprise that no political party other than BJP has shown the courage to condemn it.

RSS vs. UPA:

RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar was expelled from school in Nagpur for participating in the Vande Mataram agitation. Later in 1925 he founded the RSS and the organization played a vital role in reviving the spirit of nationalism throughout the country.

When the Madhya Pradesh Government passed a GO allowing employees to take part in RSS activities, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to the then President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam blaming RSS of stoking religious prejudices and showing ‘concern’ about the spirit of Constitution. Her ‘patriotism’ couldn’t create even a ripple in the political arena, as the entire nation was aware of the nationalist activities of the RSS.

Dar-Uloom's fatwa unconstitutional:

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind said, “We love our country, but cannot elevate it to the status of Allah, the only one worshipped by Muslims…The fatwa of Darul Uloom is correct.” Muslim politicians across the country prostrate before their political masters and bow before their party Chiefs, but will not allow the community to sing Vande Mataram saying Islam prohibits praising others except Allah. If this is not hypocrisy, what is?

Jamiat also said, “The reference to nation as mother and an ode to motherland was un-Islamic and should not be deliberately raised for causing communal discord and law and order”. When it comes to praising the Mother Nation, it is totally irrelevant if one is Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikhs, Communist, or Atheist. It is regrettable that the Clergy forces Muslims to refrain from singing even the first two stanzas (which have no reference to Hindu Goddesses) thereby losing an opportunity to express solidarity with the rest of the country. If Muslims in Germany and France can sing the respective national anthems praising their countries as ‘Father Nation,’ why can’t Indian Muslims sing two lines of Vande Mataram hailing the Mother Country? The Constitution gives equal status of National Anthem to Vande Mataram. Hence the fatwa issued against the national song by the Muslim Clergy is unconstitutional and smacks of anti-nationalism.

We once again strongly condemn the narrow and idiotic ideas of fatwa issuing bodies Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and likes (who should first learn what Bharat is) and urge progressive student community of JNU to demands for abolition of such unconstitutional and anti-social fanatic institution which want to jeopardize the stability and progress of the Indian society. We call upon all the Nationalist, Democratic and Progressive minded students of JNU to rally behind ABVP and defeat the divisive, undemocratic, inhumane and antinational designs of the Islamists.

Wake up call to resist the global Islamic agenda of women hunting and the clandestine communist support behind them

Yesterday we have seen the heaps of the pseudo-secularist pamphlets showered in the dinning halls against our pragmatic analysis on the love jihad in kerala as well as India by the Muslim youths and the verdict of kerala high court in this regard. It is well noted that recently VHP and Kochi-based Christian Association for Social Action (CASA) and other Christian organizations joined hands in kerala to halt such nefarious game by the Muslims. The Catholic Church in Kerala has launched an awareness campaign to withstand the efforts of ‘love jihadis. In an article appearing in the latest issue of Jagratha, the publication of KCBC’s Commission for social harmony and vigilance, its secretary Fr Johny Kochuparambil wrote that love jihad is a new war front opened by international Islamist extremists who want to use any available strategy to make Muslims the majority in the world, and for this, love jihadis accepted the strategy of spreading the pollen of hypocritical love on the campuses and also for fulfillment of their carnal desires. The council said that ‘love jihadis’ had started to implement their love-conversion programme in Mangalore, Karnataka. The news is well known and published in all the dailies.

The impotency, cowardice and selfishness prevent these shameless communists to look through the larger plot of Muslim organizations under the garb of love jihad. This is not only happening throughout India; but it’s a worldwide phenomenon. We should remember the fatwas issued by Mullahs in England for Muslim boys in colleges and universities to marry Christian, Hindu and Sikh girls and convert them to Islam. The Muslim youths-it is said-were also rewarded in terms of 10,000 pounds for converting a single woman. When Islam was in power, it used to advocate its followers to Kill the kafir men and take away their women. M. A. Khan, in his book The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non Muslims, eloquently describes how the Muslim invaders systematically advanced in India through war, terror, plunder and forced conversion. Islamic invaders diligently killed uncountable Hindu men, looted their temples and shrines, and enslaved the Hindu women and children. Muslim soldiers methodically raped the child bearing Hindu women, generally captured as war-booty. These hapless Hindu women had no choice but to submit to Islam, and give birth to Muslim children. But in the contemporary word overwhelmingly dominated by the western nations, Islam finds no other way but to adopt a silent strategy to seduce the non-Muslim women to conquer other religions. Princess Diana was no exception. There were deeper conspiracy theories that Dodi, the Egyptian Muslim lover of Diana, planned to foist his yet–to-be-born son on the British throne. The British intelligence sensed the danger and finished the story with a car accident. A country like Japan which has no historical links with Islam and the first mosque in Kobe was built only in 1932, today hosts about 100,000 Muslims; among whom 90% are the foreigners hailed from the Muslim countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey etc. But the surprising fact is that among the remaining 10,000 native Japanese Muslims, around 95% are women, who were converted after marrying the Muslim immigrants. This statistics prove that the Muslim men, while throwing their women into the dark and oppressive veil of Burkha, are hunting for women in the liberal, modern and progressive societies around the world. While they maintain an absolute retrogressive theocracy and conservative social structure in most of the Islamic countries and prohibit all other religions except Islam (except a few countries like Turkey and Indonesia) and although the whole muslim world is extremely backward and ignorant in terms of modern science and technology, they are able to take the opportunity of the democracy and tolerance of the developed countries. As Christianity has been suffering a grave decline in Europe, and due to the low birth rate of the Europeans, the Muslims worldwide found it easier to conquer Europe by seducing the European women and increasing the number of Muslim migrants in a much higher birth rate than the native Europeans.

Well, if we take our pseudo-secularists opinion into account, Akbar’s Hindu wives are a proof of his secularism. Sultan’s harems filled with Hindu wives are proofs of their broad-mindness. Then why these secularists are silent when the Muslims vehemently protest against the movie “Bombay” when a Muslim girl fell in love with a Hindu man? When they protest with such vigour against the Khap Panchayats (which deserves an absolute condemnation and rejection from the society), why did they preserve an eerie silence about the Shah Banu case? If they are so much interested to uphold the women’s’ rights, why didn’t they cry out when Noorul Rahman Barkati, imam of Tipu Sultan mosque in Kolkata reportedly fixed a reward on the head of Taslima Nasreen, who dedicated her life for the education of Muslim women, to fight against the oppression of Muslim women and equal rights to the women in the muslim society? Why they did not raise their voice when the Muslims in kolkata blocked the roads for two long days, attacked and stoned the office of “The Statesman” for reproducing an article byJonathan Hari, named "Why Should I Respect These Oppressive Religions”? why they were silent when Sometime in 2007 Anarul, Jehangir and Rizwan, three young Muslims of village Bakchar, Police Station Bamangola, District Malda, west Bengal gang-raped and strangled to death Dipali Roy, a 11-years old minor Hindu girl while she was returning home from her tutor's house? Why they did not come out with protest rallies when a 15 years old minor Hindu girl committed suicide after being raped repeatedly for hours by a muslim youth in Mulky, Mangalore? Why they didn’t write a pamphlet about Bangladesh, where thousands of Hindu women have been raped and abducted since 1946 to this day? Why they didn’t show any concern about the millions of Hindu and Sikh refugees who have been uprooted and killed from both Bangladesh and Pakistan till today? Is their secularism nurtured at the expanse of Hindus and just to appease the Muslims?

When the ‘secular’ communist women describe our pamphlet ‘communal’ in their effort to protect the women’s rights, we need to remind them that the myth that the Quran places men and women on equal foundation before Allah, so women have equal rights under Islamic law is a sheer lie. In fact there is no ambiguity in the Quran, the life of Muhammad, or Islamic law as to the inferiority of women to men. Islam says if a woman wants to prove that she was raped, there must be four male witnesses to corroborate her account. Otherwise she can be jailed or stoned to death for confessing to “adultery.” There are scores of chapters in Koran and Hadith to prove such ugly gesture of Islam towards the women. Inthe Quran, sura (Chapter) 2:223 says thata husband has sex with his wife, as a plow goes into a field; sura 2:228 says that husbands are a degree above their wives; sura 4:11 says thata male gets a double share of the inheritance over that of a female; sura 2:282 says thata woman’s testimony counts half of a man’s testimony;sura 4:24 says that slave-girls are sexual property for their male owners; sura 4:3 says that a man may be polygamous with up to four wives; sura 4:129 says that a husband may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives; sura 4:34 says that husbands may hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives (quite apart from whether they actually are highhanded); sura 65:1, 4 says that Mature men are allowed to marry prepubescent girls………etc…….to name a few.

One pamphlet asks a question; why kerala high court did not investigate the cases of Hindu men and Muslim women marriage. The answer is as simple as their question: it’s because there is hardly any such marriage being solemnized in India. And even if it is being solemnized in some stray incidents, the men are forced to convert to the woman’s religion by her family and the Mullahs. So nobody thinks to compare a small bucket of water with the whole Atlantic Ocean.

There is another leaflet dropped out at the dinning halls which was titled “whatever happened to Juliet?” well, by drawing a reference to this timeless tragedy of immortal love, an eternal classic from William Shakespeare, one of the greatest dramatists of world literature, they assume that the Muslims youths who are trained and funded by the Islamic outfits to catch the innocent non-muslim girls, are as noble and selfless lovers as the ‘Romeo’ of Shakespeare. Do they really think that these cunning Muslim men who lure innocent girls with their dirty tricks, lies and cheating, brainwash them and carry them to the Islamic seminaries to be used as the tools of Islamic Jihad, are as innocent lovers as Romeo, who drunk poison when he saw Juliet, the apple of his eyes, the princess of his heart, the inspiration of his life lying dead inside the coffin?

Another pamphlet tried to spread canard about the pending cases where some local people involved with the heinous acts of rape are illegally linked with the right wing groups of the country without enough proof which has no direct and indirect link with the ABVP. Well, now need we tell the communists the story of the thousands of women raped and discarded by Mao Ze Dong and his red guards, the barbaric act of murder and rape of millions of people that the communists throughout Russia and eastern Europe perpetrated during and before the leadership of Stalin, how Under communist Vietnam, women were frequently beaten, raped, sold at auction as sex slaves or sold into prostitution and killed if they stood up against the communist leaders, the gang rape which became normal, and even funny by the communists in Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge and the raped women in Nandigram like Tapasi Malik and the numerous acts of violence in the last election and after by the communists in the CPI(M) ruled west Bengal?

we appeal to all the sensible men and women to be aware of this nefarious effort of the Muslim organizations to multiply their numbers in a country like India, and the clandestine assistance they are receiving from the communist parties and the so called communist ‘intellectuals’. This is the high time to resist the Islamic-Communist nexus in our country to defend our freedom. The whole set-up of false love by the Muslim men must be discussed in public and their tactics must be analyzed in details. Every woman should think twice before becoming the breeding element of a Muslim family if she is not properly informed about Islam. In order to get a proper perspective on Islam and before she falls prey to the ongoing global Islamic agenda of women hunting, she should first know what mighty heritage she is carrying, the glorious history of tolerance and diversity she got from her ancestors, what treasure she would throw to the wind if she were to drop her native tradition in favour of a politico-religious ideology as authoritarian and fanatic as Islam.

'Love Jihad'------to trap non-Muslim girls.....!!!

Few days back a Malayalam Daily; Kerala Kaumudi exposed shocking revelations about a jihadi organization named ‘Love Jihad’ which has been conveniently ignored by rest of the media. The allegation that Muslim men entice Hindu and Christian women into marriage for reasons other than love, as part of an Islamist conspiracy, has recently been investigated by Kerala Police and has brought out some ugly details. The August 31 issue of Kerala's foremost newspaper, Malayala Manorama, carried an extensive report on how a Pakistan based terrorist organisation is planning, abetting and financing the enticement of college students from different communities in the State to become cannon fodder for its jihad in India. The report terms such young women as 'Love Bombs'.

Trapping naive Hindu girls in the web of love in order to convert to Islam is the modus operandi of the said organization. Already more than 4000 girls have been converted to Islam by these Jihadi Romeos. Special branch of Police started investigation when marriages of such large scales were reported within last 6 months. As per the instructions of this organization, the recruits need to trap a Hindu girl each within the time frame of 2 weeks and brainwash her to get converted and then get married with her within 6 months. Special instructions to breed at least 4 kids have also been issued. If the target doesn’t get trapped within first 2 weeks, they are instructed to leave her and move on to another girl. College students and working girls should be the prime target. Having completed their mission the organization will give 1 lakh Rupees and Financial help for the youth to start a business. Free Mobile Phone, Bikes and Fashionable dresses are offered to them as tools for the mission. Money for this “Love Jihad” comes from the Middle East. Each district has its own zonal chairman to oversee the mission. Prior to College admission they make a list of Hindu girls with their details, and target those who they feel are vulnerable and easy to be brainwashed.

The moment a young girl gets an easy recharge from a recharge shop in the city; her number is added to the list of the targets for Love Jihadis. There are hundreds of recharge shops in the main cities in Kerala that help in collecting the mobile numbers of young girls for Love Jihad. There are several such recharge shops that are active in the Kozhikode Palayam area and Malappuram Edappal area. Once the number reaches a Jihadi Romeo, he will either send an SMS or make a call at night on that number. Then this becomes a routine. Although the girl may try to avoid in the initial stages, the Romeo persists till the girl reaches a stage where she starts expecting his call and waiting for it. He is fully trained in this matter on how to make the girl reach this stage. The Romeo will then start intimate, sometimes vulgar talk and the girl starts falling into the trap. School/college going girls, working women, and IT professionals are the main targets. There is another group of Love Jihadis in the school/college campuses. They are divided into two groups, one that makes the list of Hindu-Christian girls in colleges who could be easily trapped and the other a group of good-looking guys who take on the responsibility of actually making them fall in their trap. Young Muslim boys are coming forward in large numbers to become Romeos because they are given a lot of money to lead a lavish lifestyle to attract young girls. Those girls who are from a financially weak background are provided study materials, exam fees, mobile phones, gifts, etc., to impress them.

Their job is to move in groups, select their prey and then get the women to elope with them on the promise of marriage and a great life abroad. After days of romancing, the women begin to believe that they have found their 'Prince Charming'. Once they elope, a marriage is registered before a notary and then the woman is whisked away from place to place. The victim thinks that she has to undergo this to evade her parents who would be searching for her. Hide-outs include places like Hyderabad that have a significant Muslim population. The victim is not allowed contact with any outsider and is subjected to propaganda videos that eulogise jihad and promise the ultimate victory of Islam. Though the racket has been going on for some years and several complaints of missing girls have been lodged with Kerala Police, the latter has ignored them, saying that the women had actually eloped out of their free will and, therefore, they could not do anything.

The racket came to light when one of the victims turned out to be the daughter of a ranking police officer and another somehow managed to send word to her parents about the reality of her situation. The parents in the second case approached the High Court with a habeas corpus petition that led the court to order the police to produce the victim before it. The plea that the woman had eloped on her own and that she was now legally married did not convince the court and it ordered that she be allowed to stay with her parents for a week before it again examined the case. After a week, the woman told the court the truth. The police have now discovered a kidnapping racket to provide recruits to Pakistani terror outfits through 'Love Jihad'. The state High Court directed the Kerala Police and Union Home Ministry to probe the alleged movement, under which young Muslim boys reportedly target college girls for conversion by feigning love. The court also asked the state and Centre to look into the sources that “fund” the love jihad, the number of girls who have got “trapped in the racket” in the past three years and its extremist links, if any. Police officials admit that there are cases of girls having been converted forcibly or “trapped” into adopting Islam. “The groups focused on girls from well-settled families, a majority of them Hindus”.

In a recent case, a youth hailing from Pattanamthitta had helped the college going girls by providing them photocopies required for their project work, and asked the girls to convert in exchange for it. This was revealed in their statement to the High Court Justice R. Basanth. Shajahan and Riyas, two young men, laid their trap for young girls through Sira Computers which is also an Akshaya Study Center in Pattanamthitta. They would teach chatting and provide opportunity to view porn sites to the girls studying computers there and subsequently pave way for sexual abuse of those girls; another way in which Love Jihadis operate. Many of the massage parlours operating in the Malabar region are conversion centers. Intimate actions of couples visiting ice-cream parlours and net cafes are photographed with the help of hidden cameras and then they are blackmailed into converting. The Jihadis are successfully attaining their goals by exploiting the weaknesses ofwomen, i.e., new and trendy dresses, cinema, ice-cream, sightseeing trips, etc. These Love Jihadis operate in Kerala under the guidance of trained experts in this field with clear foresight and extensive preparation.

The Jihadi activities in Kozhikode, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram centers are monitored by Abdul Shukur, Anwar Saadat, and Hazibul Rehman who have been trained by the Lashkar-e Taiba. They have Love Zone Chairman and various committees working on a district basis to coordinate the activities of the Jihadi Romeos. They have legal cells for dealing with the legal aspects of conversion. The activities of the legal cell in Wayanad are monitored by Ayub, an active member of NDF, a Muslim extremist organization in Kerala. The girls who are brought by the Romeos who had promised to marry them are first converted and then they are sent to a "Religious Study Center" for "religious studies". The conversion takes place in conversion centers in Ponnani and Kozhikode Muhdar. The "Religious Study Centers" operate in Kottayam, Kasargode, and Karunagappally. Campus Front, Muslims Youth Forum, Tasreen Millayat, Shaheed Force, Islam Association, etc., are some of the organizations that are providing support to Love Jihad as has surfaced in several of the investigations. Tasraan Valiyat and Shaheen Force are two of the many "Women" Jihadi organizations conducting their operations secretly in Kerala. These women Jihadis help the Jihadi Romeos in all ways possible for Love Jihad. Each unit is given an initial expenditure amount of about Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 80,000. There are several funding agencies that collect money in the name of Islamic scholarship.

Further investigations have revealed that all over India some 4,000 young women have been recruited in this manner to be trained against their will as terrorists and suicide bombers. In Kerala alone the police suspect that over 500 women have fallen victim to the 'Love Jihad' racket. According to the Thiruvananthapuram victim who gave a statement before Justice R Basant of the Kerala High Court, Islamist gangs have been freely operating without the police or intelligence agencies getting even a whiff a their activities. The operation is extremely well organised with several households and 'safe houses' ready to accommodate the unsuspecting women and their so-called husbands. If jihadi outfits in Pakistan have been able to abduct and train as many as 4,000 Indian women for terror operations over the last several years, it speaks very poorly of our intelligence apparatus. The prevailing political environment that treats the perpetrators of jihadi violence with kid gloves is equally to blame.

A report from Hyderabad in the Indian Express on August 28 said that Mujeeb Ahmed, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1994 for waging war against the state and shooting an Assistant Superintendent of Police, was released under a special remission scheme in 2004. He then went underground and, as subsequently established by the IB and CID; he became an active member of the Hizbul Mujahideen and the ISI, and was a member of the first terror cell in Andhra Pradesh. It was Rajasthan Police's discovery of rifles, detonators and explosive material in a truck in Ajmer that led to the arrest of Mujeeb once again. He was charged with procuring arms from Pakistan to launch terror attacks in Hyderabad. This jihadi has now been convicted for sedition and terrorism. Despite the fact that Mujeeb went back to being a full-fledged terrorist after his release on compassionate grounds, the Andhra Pradesh Government is now planning to release some 984 life convicts, many of whom have been charged with similar crimes as Mujeeb's. The Indian Express report quotes police officers who have revealed that the State Government neither consulted the IB nor the State police before the list of convicts to be released was prepared. Like Mujeeb, a person who was arrested a decade ago for trying to carry out terror attacks in this country will now easily go back to being an active jihadi once he is freed. That the jihadi cancer is widespread and eating into the vitals of our country is now becoming evident day by day. The Union Government led by Congress makes all the right noises in acknowledging this cancer but when it comes to taking action, the Government backs out. We should all watch out for the Centre's reaction to the revelation of the abduction of thousands of girls for terror-training.

Kerala is not the only state targeted by the Jihadis for their “Love-Jihad”. These activities are going on for several years in every state, city, gali, nukkad, mohalla, university, college, coaching institutes and other such premises. Even our esteemed university JNU is also within the radar of Jihadis for their “Love-Jihad” operations… Muslim boys trying to trap Hindu girls in their ugly “LOVE” in the name of Jihad and after the marriage forcibly convert their wives. I would like to question this stand of the ‘Leftists’ and Women's rights activists on this issue? Why are they keeping mum? Do they fear of recede of their so-called Muslim vote bank? Why the “Love-Jihadis” choose Kerala as their prime target? Do the Congress and Left Government of Kerala patronise “Love-Jihadis” or give them an easy escape from the law in name of ugly secularism? therefore all the Hindu, Sikhs and Christian girls are appealed not to get trapped in the “LOVE” of Muslims as there is a high possibility of them being converted into Islam (statistics say so) or of getting trapped in the dangerous “Love-Jihad”!

The UGBM, the farce, the violence and the artifice of political indoctrination

On the night of 31^st august, the unfortunate students of JNU once again found themselves in the serpentine course of the graceless river of the communist-oriented politics. The AISA led goons of illegal JNUSU, in continuation of their previous acts of barbarism, didn’t allow other organizations but their midget sycophants like DSU, PSU, and the SFI, a slightly capacious compatriot, to present their opinion in front of the students during the recent farce of UGBM and disrupted the whole democratic process with a systematic chaos and violence. The naked display of hooliganism of the power-hungry communists has once again come to light. The communists, in the post-UGBM scenario, spread canards that ABVP lends support to the Lyngdoh committee and intends to implement its recommendations in our university. Their desperation to retain power, in all probabilities, cloaked them into a dark veil of opportunism and blindness, so intense that they are not able now to recover the simple word-meanings of our leaflet. We’ve always accepted that certain anomalies exist in the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee and we already demanded a review panel to dissolve those anomalies. But we also want an election now to form a new and legal JNUSU which will fight against the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee with all the colleges and universities of India. So we first need an elected and legal JNUSU without delay for the purpose.

In these days the AISA and other communist blocks accord an amazing respect on the democracy of India to prevail on our society. Friends, we must not get trapped into their buffoonery and frivolousness. Today these perfidious communists, for obvious reasons, want to take the refuge of democracy to camouflage their bloody, disloyal past and their hidden agenda for the future. We should not forget how these communists of India betrayed and sabotaged the quit India movement in 1942, how they abused Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Rabindranath Tagore and other dignitaries with an incredibly vulgar language, how the communist “intellectuals” like G.Adhikary and Ashraf propagated the idea of Pakistan and the balkanization of India through their ghoulish writings, documents and speeches, how immediately after independence they fomented an insurrection to strangle the infant Indian state at birth and supported the razakars of the mutinous Nizam at Hyderabad, how they welcomed the Chinese forces with a fanatical zeal during the 1962 indo-Chinese war, how Mitrokhin archives revealed that KGB (the secret intelligence service of former soviet union) continued their operation and made inroads into Indian politics, society and intelligence service with the clandestine assistance of the communist leaders like Promode Dasgupta, how Mao Ze Dong and the Chinese communist party wanted to perish the sovereignty of Indian state with their loyal Naxalites in India……………………….

Do we need more examples? In his closing speech to the Constituent Assembly on November 25, 1949, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar said, “The Communist Party wants a Constitution based upon the principle of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. They condemn the Indian Constitution because it is based upon parliamentary democracy”.

Now how these anti-national communists could claim today that they are the bastion of democracy in India! Have they suddenly discovered that phrases like “democracy” sell better to Indian public than Marx or Lenin after the disappearance of Soviet Union?

NSUI, a vague and multi-faceted organization in JNU is now preaching around that they oppose the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee. But should we forget that the NSUI is nothing but the students’ organization of ruling congress party, the pioneers of political opportunism, and the sole architect of Lyngdoh committee? Through the implementation of Lyngdoh committee the congress party wants to destroy the political culture of Indian universities and the democratic rights of the students. It is the part of the congress’s traditionally cunning effort to de-politicise the whole Indian mass, bamboozle them and consolidate their domination over India. So how could the NSUI spread such ambiguity?

The YFE is ravenously vocal about the implementation of Lyngdoh committee in order to eliminate the “casteist” politics from Indian universities under the garb of a self-declared “apolitical” movement. Now we need to ask the students one question, did the statement of YFE contain anything else but the rhetoric of an abject casteism? Is it inappropriate to think that they just want to maintain the traditional caste hierarchy instead of the eliminating caste system through a byzantine movement?

One ambiguity must be exposed now. These communists, this AISA, this SFI, this PSU, this DSU, these pseudo-democratic forces, these shameless creatures who do not think twice to sell their women’s self-respect for their cheap political gain, these mercenary outfits which have repeatedly been hired till today by the forces hostile to positive indian nationalism, these fierce and voracious opponents of Lyngdoh committee, never voiced/raised any objection against its recommendations regarding the election of Delhi University. They all have nominated their candidates already for the said election. So have the communist ideologues of JNU decided to launch different definitions of democracy for the different universities in India?

Therefore We, the ABVP after an exhaustive cogitation about the whole scenario, have decided to deny the legitimacy of the last UGBM and the extension of the tenure of illegal JNUSU in its entirety and appeal to the students to rally behind us in the battle against the communist perjury which is leading our university to the point of oblivion in the world map of academics.

Another UGBM? Haven’t we had enough with the communist farce?

Once again the walls and the dining halls of the university failed to resist embellishing themselves with the banal pamphlets of all communist groups, which invite the students anonymously on behalf of our present illegal JNUSU to gather for another UGBM at the night of 31^st august. So our self-proclaimed representatives are now looking for another extension of their tenure and continue their fight with the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee, “oppressive” and “non-idealistic” for JNU, if the communist interpretations are to be taken into account.

So the recommendations of Lyngdoh are non-idealistic, really?

Let us examine two basic reasons for what our communists are so repulsive of Lyngdoh committee because they can take away the facilities they have been enjoying for decades in the university.

According to Lyndgoh committee,

1) The candidate’s age should not exceed 28 years.

Does it sound oppressive for the students who are pursuing PhD in JNU? A normal student completes his Masters degree at the age of 23 and M.Phil at the age of 25. So a normal PhD student enjoys 3 years to be involved in student politics if the rules of Lyngdoh committee being implemented. Is it not enough time given to him? If someone’s age exceeds 28 years, should it be inappropriate to recognise him too old to gallivant around the modest domain of students’ politics, because he is expected quite rightfully to go beyond, i.e., to work with the larger canvas of political movement of the country by his society?

2) The candidate can stand in the election only for one time.

Now the AISA-led communists spread the myth that under such circumstances, the elected candidate will lose desire to work for the welfare of the students because he finds no way to get re-elected next time even though he did great work in his tenure. Is such a thought not an effusion of sheer stupidity? We know that according to the constitution of United States of America, one can not announce his/her candidacy for president after the two times expiry of his/her tenure (i.e., 8 years). So, did the presidents of USA not work for the benefit of their country and people even though they had known that they would not be allowed to extend their candidature as per the constitution of the country? If tomorrow a new amendment of our constitution declares that the chief ministers of all the states of India will be allowed to stand in the election only for one time, will they stop to work for the development of their respective states? No, they will try to give their states the best possible service, so that their parties can come into power again with an overwhelming majority in the next election. So how these communists of JNU could spread such ludicrous nonsense?

our portrayal of the days of august is reckoned to be prosaic by the raucous and belligerent AISA led communists. Well, that’s their choice. Now the question that should be asked is why we need the extension of the tenure of an illegal JNUSU which can represent us neither in front of the JNU administration nor the supreme court of India? (We should be aware that the supreme of India too have refused to accept the legitimacy of both JNUSU and their puppet ‘joint struggle committee’). So why do we need a fake JNUSU?

All the pamphlets of JNUSU and its communist compatriots are now filled with the vehement opprobrium against us. But they have no answer to our questions asked in the previous leaflet and our suggestion about the new election of JNUSU and they are just chattering on about the bygone incidents. Why? The answer is as simple as the question: The fanatical communist iconoclasts, who give ideological succour to the violent naxalites everyday, through their morbid writings and other propaganda materials and economically mollycoddle them behind the curtain to persist their bestial atrocity against the poor people in the jungles of India, in order to take eventual control of those areas are now clamouring against us; just to distract the students from the real situation on the eve of their call to extend their tenure in JNU illegally.

In the last UGBM, members of JNUSU were elected anonymously with the support of all students’ organizations, irrespective of the political stand and their tenure had been extended till august, 2009. Well, what is the record of their business in the meantime?

1) 21 students of MCA have been consigned to the dustbin with one arrogant stroke of pen. Did anybody from the JNUSU come forward to help them?

Now the SFI is trying to spread the news that ABVP is busy to save the skins of the students who were involved in “ragging” instead of saving the democratic structure of the university. First of all we need to remind them that all the first year students but one of MCA denied the ragging or any form of torture to them by their “convicted” seniors. Secondly, we need to convey them a massage, that the sole objective of a democratic society is to fight for and save the rights and welfare of her people. The survival of a democracy itself depends on it. So how could the self-proclaimed laureates of SFI cogitate about saving their skins or the skin of their self-righteous definition of democracy without saving the skins of their very own students?

2) A great number of students who got admission in JNU last year could not have a room of their own in the hostels at proper time. Some got their room after one semester, some after two semesters. Some students haven’t got their room till today. But rooms were available in all the hostels throughout the year which can easily be allocated for the students long before. So did the JNUSU help the fresher students really?

No. they did not. Instead of helping the fresher students to get rooms, the leaders and activists of JNUSU as well as other communist blocks kept them in their rooms with a conniving assurance of safety; squeezed their minds with a colossal grinder of myths, canards and falsehoods as to their culture, history, civilization and any positive movement to reinforce Indian nationalism, in order to extract fresh, young juice from them to be preserved in the ”hallowed red” glass of communism; took enough time to brainwash them comprehensively with the fanciful stories of exploitation of the so called “oppressed” by an imaginary class of “lords” in the modern India, stiffed in the institutional inertia of communist fictions; and the age-old, alluring romance of utopian class struggle to its end; and many of these innocuous birds of prey, in due course, were converted to their faithful cadres.

3) The number of buses runs through JNU campus has drastically been reduced, and the day scholars suffer the burns now. What role has the JNUSU played to alleviate their misery?

we do not need to fill pages by drawing more examples to show that JNUSU is a defunct organization today, immoral in character, weird in thoughts, dead in look and extinguished in action. The only thing that survives in them is a despicable greed for power. Hence, the idea to call on another UGBM to extend their tenure is being propagated. Therefore, after a meticulous contemplation about the requirement and the welfare of the students, we believe that we should oppose the UGBM and reject JNUSU's hideous effort to extend its tenure again.

Hail the ghost of Lyngdoh committee! Are you really the villain?

The month of august, with its rainy mornings, scented blooms and giant clouds entered into its last week. The sporadic downpour of august could not really bid farewell to the chronic heat of the summer end. It could not also wash away the abstruse melodrama of communist politics from this picturesque university campus. The revived uproar about Lyngdoh committee is one such example. For a few weeks, several pamphlets dealing with some innovated pros and cons of Lyngdoh committee have been being distributed during the hostel dinners and the campus being deafened with the cacophony of slogans and powerful night rallies. In regard to such an abrupt upheaval after a brief period of peace, several incidents merit discussion with the student community.

First let us say that we, the common students are facing several problems due to the absence of an elected JNUSU. The student bodies are not being allowed to join the academic council as well as various school meetings and the decisions are coming out from those meetings are not generally student-friendly; such as, the increment of fees of prospectus during the JNU admission, inadequate representation of SC/ST/OBC students in different study programmes and the laws of reservation of the Govt. of India are carefully bypassed, repeated appeals of Wifi internet connection in the hostels are being ignored, scarcity of water in the hostels, a dearth of new books in the central and other school libraries, lack of effort to accommodate fresher students in the hostels etc etc. on the contrary, the administration is passing bills for the beautification of the campus. A series of more unfriendly decisions may be thrown to us in the days ahead like the allocation of electric meter in every room of each hostel. All this hostile decisions are being executed successfully by the administration because there is no legal representation of JNUSU anywhere in the campus.

Now let us think rationally. Our AISA led illegal JNUSU today spreads canard that the democratic structure of JNU will be destroyed if election is allowed to be conducted under the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee. So, is it true? Do the recommendations of the said committee prohibit us to demonstrate peacefully, conduct protest rallies and lead any civil disobedience movement in a democratic way? Do they forbid us to antagonise the proposals and policies of our government seemingly harmful to public and national interest? Do they take away the rights to oppose any event carrying momentum in the international arena? Do they curb the students’ rights in any form?

we don't think so. A thorough reading of the voluminous booklet carrying the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee belabours that a proper implementation of Lyngdoh committee will provide enough space for a powerful students’ union in the university. It is not a state conspiracy at all to cripple the students’ rights as annunciated by the communist propagandists. The communists in India have developed a penchant proclivity over the years to look every phonomenon of the universe through a ghostly prism of ritualistic conspiracy of the state. We don’t need to get trapped into their folly. Lyngdoh committee affirms in clear words that there must be students’ election in each and every college and university of India.

So why does the illegal AISA led JNUSU not want to give way to a legal and elected JNUSU today? Do their leaders want to retain power till the next year with all the luxuries of the TEFLAS office and without any responsibility?

Actually the JNUSU deploys an ebullient brand of exorcists here, to work under the euphemistical Joint Struggle Committee, in order to bewitch the common students and using it as a featherbed to disarray the coming election in the university. The communists in JNU, in all probabilities, want to create an anarchic system of governance for the students where the individual students’ groups will be fighting like cats and dogs and they will milk each such eccentricity to extract political favour on their behalf. our opinion is neither hypothetical nor apocryphal. The communists, to our knowledge, didn’t meet their advocate in the last three long months regarding their legal battle with the Lyngdoh committee recommendations. They have preserved a bizarre silence about the said committee in the last six months. So why are they conducting now so many dramas in the kaleidoscope of pamphlets, public meetings, slogans and protect rallies? Is the whole son et lumiere directed to awe the fresher students and get a grip on their innocent mind, so that they cast their votes in the ballot of AISA-led communists as the term of the present illegal JNUSU is going to expire in the august 2009 and an election is inevitable if the Lyndoh committee being legalised?

Though we accept that there are certain anomalies in the recommendations of Lyngdoh committee too, it ought to be noted that the charter of the committee grants provisions for review and amendment of its rules by setting up a separate committee after two years. This can be feasible only when a legal JNUSU will be elected democratically which will represent and lead all other universities in the battle against the anomalies of Lyngdoh committee. The communists reiterate that elections of JNU are held in high esteem by Lyngdoh committee; but the committee expressed same views about the elections of Hydrabad Central University (HCU) also, where an election has successfully been conducted under the rules of Lyngdoh committee. So we believe that now the need of the hour is to warn the buffoons of JNUSU to squelch exhorting the falsehoods with which the so called Joint struggle committee is packed and demend an election from the administration at the earliest convenience.
